The philosophy of Faith Lutheran College Redlands revolves around the belief that every child has the right to reach his or her optimum levels of performance.
These areas include intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual dimensions of life to be used in developing and strengthening positive relationships with others in society.
Children are regarded as unique individuals who have specific needs.
The college therefore aims to cater for the needs of children along the entire spectrum of learning ability.
Parents wishing to enrol their children at Faith Lutheran College are able to find enrolment information and application forms online on the college website.
Searching under the ‘Enrolments’ page allows easy access for families to begin the collaborative process towards having their children attend the college.
Online applications are received by the college and a meeting with the family and tour are arranged by the enrolment officer.
Families meet with both the relevant head of school and the principal to discuss their children’s learning needs and begin the important partnership between home and school.
Towards the end of each academic year, transition days are held to allow students at key year levels, such as Prep and Year 7, to spend some time in the college prior to beginning the following year and meet other students and staff.
As well as applying online families may visit the college at any time to begin the enrolment process and take a tour.
This year sees a number of exciting initiatives and continuing programs underway at Faith Lutheran College.
A wide range of year level camps will be offered once again with a strong emphasis on outdoor education.
Year 9 students will again spend four weeks at the Mt Binga Outdoor Education Centre in lieu of attending school at that time in term four.
Student strings, percussion and brass ensembles will tour variously this year with the growth of the college’s music program.
A tour of Japan will occur later in 2019 along with opportunities to attend a service learning tour of Cambodia.
The Japanese Language Program has been expanded this year as well to include all students from Year 2 - 8 and is elective in the upper secondary years.
Faith Lutheran College Redlands is a co-educational Lutheran school offering a holistic education to 750 students from Prep to Year 12.
The College is located on two campuses, Prep - Year 6 on Link Road and Year 7 - 12 on Beveridge Road in the Redlands alongside beautiful Moreton Bay. Website: www.faithlutheran.qld.edu.au.
