Rose Rainbow Pre School and Kindergarten will soon be expanding operations to offer care for babies from six weeks of age.
The family run centre currently caters for children from 15 months, including school age, and is currently taking new enrolments.
The centre is conveniently located next to St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School at Alexandra Hills and was recently awarded an 'exceeding' the National Quality Standard rating.
This provides the assurance that high quality education and care is offered for your child.
Rose Rainbow has a Queensland Government kindergarten program with a high level focus on learning dispositions and developing the skills children need to be successful in school and throughout life.
All teachers and educators are experienced and fully qualified, holding current first aid certificates.
Children are challenged through hands on learning and play to question, seek, explore, think creatively and be inquisitive about their world.
The centre is fortunate to have retained a natural bushland adjacent to the kindergarten called Birdwood Place where your child can visit on excursions.
The fully fenced area with huge natural play spaces encourages children to run, explore, build friendships and enjoy being kids roaming in a garden setting, creating their own games using their imagination.
Children learn first hand about sustainability practices; native planting, growing vegetables and caring for chickens.
Within this environment they can relax from the busyness of life and enjoy the smells and sounds of nature.
Children learn through play and hands-on discovery. They develop the ability to take on new challenges.
This ensures they become capable and confident learners in kindy, school and throughout life.
Rose Rainbow is leading innovative educational practice in the early childhood sector through involvement in Horizon Grant research with the Queensland University of Technology.
The centre received both local and worldwide recognition in 2018 with presentations on outdoor learning and an innovative learning approach to developing information literacy competencies with young children.
Rose Rainbow offers specialised school programs led by experienced primary school teachers for before and after school care and vacation care.
The service also provides Mighty Oaks Outside School Hours Care which is located at Alexandra Hills State School.
These programs are in high demand for their point of difference in providing specialised programs for children in the performing arts – music, singing, dance and drama, development of sport skills and outdoor learning.
Interested families and children are invited to drop in to look around the centre or ph 3824 2018.
