A SPEECH about Redlands' colourful past by Moreton Bay historian Peter Ludlow attracted a packed crowd to the Grand View Hotel.
National Trust of Australia chief executive Jonathan Fisher said he was delighted to see the topic, including a history of Peel Island's Horseshoe Bay, had piqued interest.
"We are delighted to see such strong community support and interest in the work of our newest National Trust Branch in the Redlands," he said.
Redlands National Trust inaugural president Annette Marsson said anyone could join the group.
The National Trust is a member-based charity, which sought to protect, conserve and celebrate environmental, built and cultural history, Ms Marsson said.
The Redlands Branch meets at the Grand View Hotel every two months.
The next meeting scheduled for April 2.
