All signs point to a classic W-League grand final shootout.
Both teams had scored 28 goals before last week's semi-finals, when Perth put four past premiers Melbourne Victory, including superstar Sam Kerr's hat-trick.
Sydney FC only scored twice in knocking out Brisbane, but that hasn't stopped coach Ante Juric from predicting a goalfest at Jubilee Oval on Saturday.
While the Glory boast Ballon d'Or nominee in Kerr, the Sky Blues could have up to 10 Matildas when the squad is picked for the Cup of Nations next week.
"I'm happy with the girls and our philosophy of attacking. I think it's good for the fans to see that and Perth are just as good going forward," Juric said on Friday.
But while strikers, fans and scoreboard attendants salivate at the prospect of a full afternoon of highlight reels, defence looms as the path to the trophy.
On paper, only one goal separated both defences over the regular season.
Sky Blues veteran Alanna Kennedy, who has the ominous task of marking Matildas teammate in Kerr, bristles when talk of a shootout is brought up.
But even she admits stopping goals could be an issue.
"The last thing we want is for it to go to a shootout. Obviously we're prepared for that but I don't think that's what we're hoping for," Kennedy said.
And even though Sydney FC have the added advantage of being at home, it remains to be seen whether most will be sky blue.
The FFA expect crowd figures to nudge last year's W-League record of 6025, when Juric's side were the third victim in Melbourne City's three-peat.
But some believe it is due to the Kerr, who said this week she would swap all her individual achievements for leading Perth to their first women's trophy.
Kerr even leaves indelible marks on her teammates, having produced a diving header for Sydney FC in a grand final triumph in 2013.
"That was an unbelievable goal she scored in that final too," Kennedy said.
"I was playing as a ten back then. Obviously you want to look to stop her from getting a lot of service but there's going to be time she gets the ball.
"We'll be able to deal with that. Well, hopefully. You can't always say you can deal with someone like Sam Kerr."
Perhaps the only difference between the two teams - who also both finished on 19 points after the regular season - is in the build-up.
While both teams played on Sunday, the Glory were forced to advance after an extra-time thriller, and have also had to endure another gruelling week in the air.
