The Bayside Blues Festival promises to lift the spirits when it brings an impressive array of performers to Capalaba regional park from 1pm to 9pm on March 9.
This year's proposed line up includes the Button Collective, Vix and the Slick Chix (1pm), Dale Robbins band (2pm), Brew'n the Vlues (3pm), BB Factory (4pm), Dezzie D and the Stingrays (5pm), The Kennedy Queens (6pm), Minnie Marks (7pm) and The Hipshooters (8pm).
Organised by Capalaba Rotary, this community event is free to enter although a gold coin donation is appreciated.
There will be an open bar, market and food stalls and children's entertainment.
The event was first proposed by the Capalaba councillor and championed by the Blues Association South East Queensland, Capalaba Sports Club and army cadets.
Rotary's Tony Wills said the festival was designed to provide a family orientated event that is affordable. The festival is now in its fifth year.
"We are expecting the event to attract about 5000 people. It's a lovely way to spend an afternoon and evening," Mr Wills said.
Gates open at noon. Patrons are invited to bring a chair and a picnic blanket.
