American forward Savannah McCaskill has inspired Sydney FC to the W-League title after scoring twice in a pulsating 4-2 grand final win over Perth.
McCaskill gave the Sky Blues the halftime lead on Saturday afternoon after Sam Kerr's penalty cancelled out Sofia Huerta's long-range opener.
McCaskill made it a two-goal cushion midway through the second half at Sydney's Jubilee Oval before Glory defender Alyssa Mautz pulled one back in the 68th minute.
Any thoughts of a comeback ended when Chloe Logarzo drove home from just outside the box to seal the club's record-equalling third championship.
It also ends Melbourne City's run of three-straight titles.
Sydney's triumph avenges their heartbreaking loss to City in last year's decider, while the Glory are left to rue a third shot at a maiden trophy.
All week, there were predictions of a shootout between the season's two most-prolific goalscoring teams, led by Matildas pair Caitlin Foord and Kerr.
And the W-League grand final record crowd of 6127 weren't disappointed as both sides fired a combined 27 attempts in a free-flowing box-to-box contest.
McCaskill would've been kicking herself when she found woodwork from point-blank range in just the second minute.
But the American didn't have to wait long to make amends, laying off for Huera to drill her 20-metre effort into the top right corner for the opener.
Kerr's first real chance came soon after, but her header was wide of the near post.
The marquee made her impact from the penalty spot, having beaten Danielle Colaprico to a loose ball and copping a kick to the shin.
Sydney goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe guessed correctly to her right, but couldn't prevent Kerr's shot powering into the bottom corner.
While the Glory continued to rely on finding Kerr and Rachel Hill on the counter, the Sky Blues were able to dictate and build upfield.
Their play was rewarded when McCaskill's header off an early Foord cross looped over a flat-footed Eliza Campbell in the 41st minute.
The home side picked up where the left off on resumption, and they took control when McCaskill was the first to react to a second ball from a corner.
The 22-year-old found herself unmarked after the Glory defence failed to defuse a Huerta ball popped back into the box after an initial corner.
A grandstand finish loomed when Mautz volleyed a Nicole Stanton corner, however Logarzo responded with her dagger not long after.
