REDLANDS players will represent Australia on the world stage as they compete in international tournaments this softball season.
Byron Humble, Kynan Molander and Caleb Vandegriendt will tour New Zealand as part of the Under 17 Australian boys' squad in in April.
Molander said based on each player's performance during the friendship series in New Zealand, a team would be chosen to compete at the world championships in 2021.
"It's pretty exciting, and it will be a great experience," Vandegriendt said.
Under 15 Redlands players Khye Chamberlain-Clark, Ayden Champneys and Zane Macrae were also named in the Australian team for their age group, and will play the Softball Australia International friendship series in July.
The series will see Australian and international team play at the Redlands softball grounds.
Soraya Hamson and Matisse Sorbello were selected in the national Under 15 girls' squad.
Three Redlands Softball Association players will compete in the American 2019 National Pro Fastpitch season as part of the Travelodge Aussie Spirit squad.
Janice Blackman, Georgia Blair and Tamieka Whitefield were selected from players across the country and will attend an open women's training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport next month before heading to the USA in May.
Redlands Softball Association president Wayne Molander said the strong representation of the Redlands at a national level spoke to the high standard of local softball.
