Something very special has been happening throughout our naturally wonderful Redlands Coast.
In the eight months since Redland City Council launched its campaign to show the world just how inviting our city is, the response has been breathtaking.
Our city brand, Redlands Coast - naturally wonderful, has gained tangible traction.
Local businesses, especially tourism operators, are reporting a welcome upsurge with the brand resonating with visitors, who say they were enticed here by our campaign and new websites.
It is great to see local businesses such as Redland City Bulletin joining in through this new publication, Redlands Coast Now.
The flow-on effect will be increased economic sustainability through the support of trade, investment, talent and especially our own sense of community.
Ours truly is an extraordinary place.
In the heart of Quandamooka Country, it boasts many hidden treasures natural, cultural and culinary that are well worth exploring by both locals and visitors.
All are now more accessible through our websites, which make it so much easier for locals and potential visitors to connect with all we have to offer.
Go to visitredlandscoast.com.au and you will find a virtual treasure map of our natural wonders, cultural experiences, holidays, tours, dining and what is happening in our city.
As Redlands Coast naturally wonderful, we are becoming better known for all that is positive and that is being sustained by our army of ambassadors ... all of you: the welcoming faces on our streets and in our shops and restaurants; and the proud locals whose infectious enthusiasm is among our greatest of assets.
We are well on the way to Redlands Coast becoming a name synonymous with a great place to be.
Mayor - Karen Williams.
