It's hard to imagine twenty years ago, Redland Bay didn’t have a vet, however, this year Veterinary Happiness celebrates two decades of caring for our communities' pets.
Veterinary Director and Team Leader Dr Deborah Webb established the clinic, transforming it from a doctor’s surgery.
"It was the ideal place to establish the clinic and fulfil my vision of providing clients and their pets with an outstanding veterinary experience and create a lifelong partnership with them," says Dr Debbie.
"I am pleased to say that there are clients that still come to the clinic from those early days."
The clinic now has a team of team of eight people including four veterinarians and four veterinary nurses.
All team members are highly experienced and undergo regular continuing education.
The clinic offers all small animal veterinary services including vaccinations, desexing, dentistry, radiology, ultrasonography, general and orthopaedic surgery, medical procedures, blood testing and other pathology.
They also offer a seniors programme to look after the special needs of our ‘golden oldies’, plus there are year-round free dental checks, a free weight loss clinic and puppy preschool.
"Something that no other Veterinary Clinic in the area has is that we are ‘Feline Friendly Accredited’ this means that cats receive special treatment, in order to keep their stress levels as low as possible," says Dr Debbie.
"They have their own dedicated area in reception, their own consult room and hospitalisation room separate to dogs. Anxiety reducing pheromones are diffused into the atmosphere constantly.
"We also go above and beyond for the fur babies and their parents in terms of standards of treatment and customer service.

"All the Veterinarians have at least 10 years experience meaning that the pets are in excellent hands and we treat them as if they are our own.
"Every pet that undergoes a procedure has pain relief before, during and after the procedure as a standard practice."
Some of the changes Dr Debbie has seen include the use of more technology, which the clinic has embraced with digital radiology both general and dental, ultrasonography and blood testing machines, all of which are onsite.
All appointments can also be booked online via the website or Facebook page; and you can receive digital reminders for when the pet is due for a blood test, vaccination or check-up.
Pet Insurance has become more popular; now people can relax and know they can afford gold standard care for their pet.
