It was a big win for the Capalaba Bulldogs National Premier League Women's side against Mitchelton but the Football Queensland Premier League squad are yet to find points this season after a defeat against Sunshine Coast Wanderers.
The Bulldogs NPLW side travelled to Mitchelton on Saturday afternoon to take on Mitchelton, a team that Capalaba was unable to beat last season, but it was a much different result for the two teams with Capalaba recording their biggest NPLW win since entering the competition with a 6 – 0 win.

Lines now confirming a solid lead in the golden boot race with seven goals from four games while Courperus sits at 4 from 4. Captain Stephanie Latham was happy with the result saying the team was confident in the build up to the game.
“We were confident going into the game but knew if we didn’t take our chances in front of goals, it was going to be a tough game for us.” said Latham.
“We are all really happy to take another three points.”
“I’m really happy all the girls put in and we were able to do the job we wanted and to not just come away with three points but also to come away with a convincing win away from home.”
The convincing win puts Capalaba into second place on 10 points with Lions on top with 12 and Moreton Bay just behind with nine points in third.
The girls now go to Wakerly Park where they take on Souths United where they will look to cement their position in the top two.

THE FQPL side took on Sunshine Coast Wanderers who are one of the big contenders for promotion this season.
The Wanderers were instantly on the ball with Karl Vonhoff scoring in the fourth minute of the game instantly putting the Bulldogs on the chase.
Raymond Schultz found his first of the night in the 14th minute thanks to a cross in that was put away nicely.
Stuart Edgar got one back for the Bulldogs in the 23rd as they continued to scramble to find their opportunities to score but a second from Raymond Schultz on the half hour mark sealed the deal with the next 60 minutes played out goal-less.
The Wanderers had three points to take home who now have two wins from two.
“The first 15 minutes killed us, you can’t turn up for the first 15 minutes," Edgar said.
“Everything right as far as the plan but we just played poorly.
“As poor as we were, Denver Crickmore has got to be their man of the match, saved three world class saves, those were the three we could have come back on.”
