PARCHED backyards around the Redlands have finally received good rainfall, with 121mm falling since Friday afternoon.
The Bureau of Meteorology Alexandra Hills station recorded the bulk of the weekend's rainfall on Friday evening, with 62.6mm falling between 5.30pm and 11.30pm.
The wild weather may not be over yet, with BOM issuing another severe storm warning for parts of south-east Queensland on Monday afternoon.
Meteorologist Nicholas Shera said the Alexandra Hills BOM station had seen more than 140mm of rain over the past seven days.
The average March rainfall at Point Lookout was 133.7mm, while the average in Brisbane was 112mm.
"Many areas have exceeded the March average rainfall," Mr Shera said.
"We'll be in cyclone season until April so there's still a lot of moisture around."
The rain did not stop 12,000 concert-goers who flocked to see Kylie Minogue at A Day on the Green at Sirromet Winery on Sunday afternoon.
Due to the inclement weather, Sirromet banned on-site parking for all vehicles except four-wheel drives, with many audience members being transported by bus from Capalaba.
Sirromet marketing manager Michelle Braiuka said the audience to the sold-out show had not been deterred by the rain.
"The event was fantastic and Kylie was an absolute show stopper," Ms Braiuka said.
"Nothing could dampen the spirits of the crowd who had braved the weather to see her brilliant performance.
"We have a risk management plan for every event onsite and being ready for weather conditions always is a factor."
The weekend's wild weather came after a heatwave brought scorching temperatures to the south-east early last week.
