REDLANDS College student Trinity Becka is bound for Europe to honour the Anzacs and her own great-grandfather in song.
The year 9 student will embark on a tour of Europe with Brisbane youth choral organisation Voices of Birralee from April 4 to 26.
The choir will start in Austria, where members will join local singers to perform in schools, town halls and at a Mayoral Civic Reception.
The group will then visit Zagreb and Opatija in Croatia, where they will sing in the Postojna caves and perform at the We Are Singing Adriatic Festival, before heading to Venice and Paris.
As part of the tour Voices of Birralee will perform at the Lighting of the Flame at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and tour villages throughout France that were impacted during WW1, including Allonville.
The tour will conclude with a performance on Anzac Day at the Australian National Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux.
Trinity said she was excited to pay tribute to the people that had fought for Australia, including her great-grandfather who had served in the armed forces during World War II.
"It's an honour because we're remembering people who have served for all of us," Trinity said.
"It makes me feel special because not everyone gets to do it."
The Anzac Day performance is part of the choir's partnership with the Department of Veterans' Affairs, which included Anzac Day and WWI centenary performances in France and Belgium.
Voices of Birralee Founder and Artistic Director Julie Christiansen said the tour would provide an unforgettable experience for choir members.
"April's tour marks the end of what's been an incredibly rewarding, emotional and successful touring project," Ms Christiansen said.
"So many of our choristers who have toured as part of the DVA commitment have been able to commemorate a family member who served, with others connecting to this time in Australia's history in some way."
A dedication service and concert will be held to send off the singers at 3pm on Sunday, March 31 at ABC Studios in Brisbane.
