A ROAD safety-themed Coffee with a Cop event will soon be hosted for Wellington Point residents.
Bayside District Crime Prevention coordinator Acting Sergeant Brendon Winslow said everyone was invited to Point of View Cafe at 1 Main Road on Friday, April 5 from 4pm to 6pm to enjoy a free coffee and meet police and Redland City councillor Wendy Boglary.
Acting Sergeant Winslow said the event coincided with Queensland Police Service's three week Easter Road Safety Campaign, which begins Friday.
"Over this period, police will be targeting the Fatal Five, which are speeding, drink and drug driving, seat belts, fatigue and distraction," he said.
"As per usual, Bayside DCPC will be present, along with officers from Cleveland Police Station, Bayside Road Policing, Volunteers in Policing, Police Liaison Officers and Crime Stoppers, of course."
