
Mates Theatre Genesis brings international vocal coach Torb Pedersen to Birkdale for a two-day workshop on controlling an audience from 1pm to 4pm on April 27 and 28.
During the workshop Pedersen addresses key neuro-psychological factors the audience perceives and teaches some trade secrets used by professional speakers and celebrities.
The workshop is suitable for actors, speakers and performers. It teaches tips and techniques for confidence and presence, how to abolish fear, insecurity and nervousness, how to project your voice safely without fatigue or injury, the insider secrets to making the voice sound fuller and more appealing, mechanical and psychological methods for establishing dramatic stage presence and offers the secret to understanding audience perception.
Pedersen advises a diverse portfolio of clients from World Leaders, CEO's and The White House Press Corps to major record labels and the winners of more than 100 Grammy Awards. A neuro-mechanical expert in vocal science and speaking technologies, he leads cutting-edge, multidisciplinary teams into revolutionary projects and continually expanding research avenues.
Most recently, he served as chief vocal counsel for Gloria Estefan's Broadway musical, On Your Feet.
The workshop will be staged at the Birkdale School of Arts Hall, 101 Birkdale Road.
