WELLINGTON Point residents have organised a sunset walk in support of the victims of New Zealand's mosque terror attacks last month.
The walk to King Island will be on Friday, April 12.
Cr Wendy Boglary said anyone who wanted to show their support for New Zealand, where 50 people were killed in the March 15 attack on two mosques, could join the group.
"There will be no formal proceedings," Cr Boglary said.
"It is just a group of friends showing unity and strength against such cowardly acts."
Walkers will wear white, carry candles and walk in silence.
"We thought we could wear white as a sign of unity and peace, carry a candle to light our way and walk in silence as a powerfully loud message of support," Cr Boglary said.
Participants should meet at 6pm.
The walk will start at 6.30pm.
The walk will be followed by a community dinner in the Wellington Point Reserve.
People can take their own food or buy from the Wellington Point take-away kiosk at the reserve.
