LOCALS received road safety advice and a piping hot cuppa at a Coffee with a Cop event at Wellington Point last Friday.
Officers from across the Redlands including Capalaba Road Policing Unit were on hand at Point of View Restaurant and Cafe to give road safety information going into the Easter holiday period.
Volunteers in Policing, Crime Stoppers and police liaison officer Tom Govenor also attended.
Superintendent Virginia Nelson said the turnout at the event was indicative of Wellington Point locals' passion for their community.
"This sort of engagement over a coffee is fantastic," Superintendent Nelson said.
"We can't be everywhere at once and nor can we solve every problem but by speaking to locals like this it does help us address any concerns that they may have."
This event is part of a series of engagements focused on the Queensland Police Service's Easter Road Safety Campaign under the Operation Wake Up banner.
