POLICE believe a dog missing from Macleay Island may have been stolen.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson the black toy poodle called Dasher disappeared from an address at the island about 3pm on March 31.

A dog that looked like Dasher was later seen at Redland May marina.

Those who see the dog can contact police.

Witnesses can report information to Policelink on 131 444 or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
