DOG trainer Ryan Tate will visit North Stradbroke Island to help owners control their dogs better.
Three two-hour lessons will be delivered across the island at Amity and Dunwich on Wednesday, April 17.
The free seminars are part of Griffith University's Leave It program, which was set up in 2017 to help owners keep command of their pups better.
Owners can bring their pooches to workshops offered at Amity Point Community Hall between 10am and noon and Dunwich Public Hall from 2pm to 4pm.

A dog-free seminar will be hosted at Dunwich Public Hall from 6pm to 7.30pm for owners who want learn without their pets.
Ms Harris, who is a pHD candidate at the university, said a survey of Redlands dog owners found that nine per cent of pooches had killed wildlife and more than half dug holes.
The survey of 500 people also found that 32 per cent of dogs chewed furniture.
"Our aim is to have well-trained dogs within the Redland community by offering free training seminars and linking (owners) with our accredited trainers," she said.
"Ryan will teach you quick and easy tips and tricks for dog obedience behaviours, from getting your furry friend to come back when called to avoiding wildlife."
People who attended could also ask Mr Tate questions, she said.
