BAYSIDE cops have enjoyed a more lighter side to policing during Coffee with a Cop events across the Redlands.
Officers met with shoppers at Capalaba Central Shopping Centre's Cafe Two 14 for free coffee last Thursday.
Police also hosted two Coffee with a Cop events at Cleveland Showground on Sunday as part of the Redlands Coast Amazing Race.

Capalaba Police Beat spokeswoman Pauline Dunn said the events all helped to promote Queensland Police Service's Easter road safety campaign Operation Wake Up.
The campaign was launched earlier this month to help prevent school holiday road carnage. So far this year, 55 people have died from vehicle crashes on Queensland roads.
Operation Wake Up was aimed at targeting the fatal five bad driver behaviours - speeding, distraction, drug and drink-driving, fatigue and not wearing a seat belt - to stop the death toll from rising.
Earlier this month, bayside police nabbed 20 drivers in the Redlands who tested positive for drugs. Police charged 30 people overall with 51 offences related to drug and traffic violations.
"Part of our Easter road safety campaign, Operation Wake Up, involves community engagement in getting our message across," Ms Dunn said.
Bayside district crime prevention coordinator Acting Sergeant Brendon Winslow said a few Redlands officers who attended Redlands Coast Amazing Race posed for fun snaps while there.
The next Coffee with a Cop event will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at Russell Island from 9am to 11am at Bayview Cafe, 1/2 Baview Road.
Acting Sergeant Winslow said the event would have a domestic violence prevention theme to coincide with domestic violence awareness month, which is run throughout May.
