WELLINGTON Point man Robert Bucci got a birthday gift to remember for when out for a meal last Wednesday, scoring himself a year's worth of free fuel.
Mr Bucci took his daughter out for wings last Wednesday at Hog's Breath Carindale. To celebrate its 30th birthday, the franchise ran a giveaway for customers
On his birthday earlier this week, Mr Bucci received a call from Hog's Breath informing him of his win, which saw him receiving a fuel voucher worth $5200.
Mr Bucci said his first stop after receiving the voucher was the Wellington Point BP.
He said the voucher meant one less thing to worry about for him and his family.
"We don't need to look at apps to find out where the cheap fuel is anymore," he said.
"We used to fill up jerry cans when (fuel prices were) low and now we don't have to anymore.
"Every time you go (to a petrol station) you have a feeling like you're winning."
The first Hog's Breath Cafe opened for business in beautiful Airlie Beach in 1989 with founder Don Algie at the helm.
A year later, a second restaurant opened in Mooloolaba and was followed by restaurants in Cairns, Townsville and Darwin.
There are now 75 Hog's Breath restaurants throughout Australia and New Zealand, including Cleveland, Victoria Point and Carindale.
