AN Alexandra Hills home at McDonald Road is being used as a set for feature film Monster Problems.
Crew and cast were there on Thursday, with a single-lane closure put in place to accommodate trucks parked on the road's side.
A publicist for Monster Problems said filming would continue after Easter.
It appeared a screen, suspended by a crane, had been hauled in for the shoot, with grass at the site grown wild to make the home look abandoned.
Monster Problems is a coming of age film about a young man living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters.
The film reportedly stars Dylan O'Brien from television series Teen Wolf and Jessica Henwick, who played Colleen Wing on Netflix's Marvel shows Iron Fist and The Defenders.
Michael Rooker from Guardians of the Galaxy and Ariana Greenblatt from Avengers: Infinity War have also been cast.
Its crew includes Stranger Things producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen, as well as Insurgent writer Brian Duffield.
Monster Problems will be the first production to film in Brisbane's new $12 million fit-for-purpose Screen Queensland Studios, based in Hemmant.
The film comes from the Paramount Players division of Paramount Pictures and will be directed by Michael Matthews.
Filming for the movie also took place earlier this month at Sirromet Wineries.
