Adelaide star Eddie Betts doesn't just want a win against Gold Coast on Sunday to celebrate his 300th AFL game.
The selfless forward wants a victory because his struggling club desperately needs it.
"Personally, it would be great to a win for your 300th game," Betts said.
"But moreso, I'm looking at the club.
"We are copping a lot of criticism - and we obviously deserve that because we're not playing the great footy that we know we're capable of.
"To get the win to get our season back on track would be very, very important.
"Gold Coast are playing some great footy, they're three (wins) and one (loss), they're absolutely killing it, so we have got to be on our toes."
Adelaide dumped out-of-sorts forward Josh Jenkins and Myles Poholke while rookie Chayce Jones was ruled out because of concussion.
The Crows summoned veteran Bryce Gibbs, Hugh Greenwood and Elliott Himmelberg as replacements.
Gold Coast made two changes, recalling George Horlin-Smith and Will Brodie to replace injured duo Wil Powell and Anthony Miles.
But the teams enter the Adelaide Oval twilight fixture in contrasting ladder positions which defy preseason predictions.
The Crows, widely tipped to be a flag contender, have one win and are perched in 14th spot.
And the Suns, predicted by most pundits to again wallow in the lower reaches of the ladder, have been beaten once and sit in sixth spot.
Adelaide have never lost to the Suns in their 11 clashes and will be primed to celebrate fan favourite Betts' milestone match.
"(I'm) a bit nervous," Betts said.
"Obviously it (the milestone) means a lot ... I will probably reflect after the game, just enjoy it with the boys and with the family.
"It makes me reflect on the journey I have had, receiving all these text messages from ex-players, coaches, boys from different clubs."
