RAIN did not dampen the spirits of thousands of festival-goers at Redland Showgrounds on Monday.
Locals and visitors turned up in droves for the 20th annual Easter Family Festival, despite a few showers falling during the day.
A giant slide, jumping castle and rock climbing wall proved popular with children, who were enjoying the final day of their Easter school holidays.
Families queued up to get their hands on free fairy floss, sausages and donuts.
Event organiser Peter Sutter said the event was a chance for local churches to give back to their community, with food, entry and rides all free.
"It is for the churches to show the community the greater good of what we do," he said.
More than 400 volunteers helped out on the day to keep the event running smoothly.
