STAR general manager Patsy Wilshire said classes were fun and a good way to meet up with friends.
"The social aspect of the class is very appealing to many participants," she said.
"Many seniors live on their own. Coming to these weekly classes, having a conversation with others and in a safe and supportive environment makes it easier for everyone to come along and give it a go."
Victoria Point woman Janice Mansfield, 82, said she enjoyed having cups of tea with her friends after exercise class.
