Russell Island have reminded motorists to lock their cars and keep valuables hidden away to prevent thefts.
Sergeant Tim McKinney said dinghies should also be secured with chains and a padlock when unattended.
"It is also recommended to keep all your doors at home locked, even when you are there, and especially when you are out," he said.
