KEITH Newton, a 77-year-old man who went missing from Wellington Point on Thursday afternoon, has been found safe.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said Mr Newton was found on Fernbourne Road - the same road on which he lives - on Saturday morning.
He had been missing for two nights.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said Mr Newton was in a stable condition and had been taken to Redland Hospital with fatigue and dehydration.
The police spokesperson said Mr Newton also had scratches and bruises.
Police thanked the community for their assistance.

RESIDENTS at Wellington Point are urged to check any CCTV footage they may have after 3pm yesterday as the search for a 77-year-old man Keith Newton continues.
Police thanked community members for their help searching the area but reminded people not to place themselves in danger.
Mr Newton was last seen yesterday afternoon after leaving his home to go walking.
An extensive search, involving helicopters, police officers, SES volunteers and community members has so far been unsuccessful and residents of Wellington Point, Cleveland and Ormiston are asked to check their properties.

POLICE have extended their search for 77-year-old missing Wellington Point man Keith Newton to Cleveland and Ormiston.
The search for Mr Newton has been under way since yesterday afternoon.
Members of the community are urged to check their back yards and under their houses.
A police spokesperson said if Mr Newton was not found by nightfall, search efforts would be stopped and resumed in the morning.

POLICE are appealing for residents of Wellington Point and surrounding areas to check their properties for missing man Keith Newton after an extensive search has so far been unsuccessful.
Residents are urged to check yards and sheds for Mr Newton, who went missing yesterday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said Mr Newton may be disoriented or confused.
UPDATE midday
THE search for well-known Wellington Point man Keith Newton is continuing around Geoff Skinner Wetlands and streets near Fernbourne Road.
Mr Newton is the wife of Decalie Newton who was a Redland councillor from 1997 to 2004.
He is widely recognised for his involvement in the sailing community including the charity Sailability.
He was also involved with Bushcare.
Police officers on horses arrived at Geoff Skinner Wetlands about 11.15am to help with the search.
Officers are also door-knocking at houses in the area.
SES volunteers and community members have joined in the search.
Police have asked anyone helping to register their details at a police base at the end of Fernbourne Road.
A friend of Mr Newton's for 10 years, Richard Carroll said Mr Newton had lived at Wellington Point for more than 30 years.
"He was an avid sailor and is a survivor, although he's now getting on in age," Mr Carroll said.
Mr Newton is known for walking regularly in the area.
Mr Carroll commended the police and SES volunteers for their efforts and said everyone he knew was out looking for Mr Newton.
"Last night there were people out on bikes, with their children and out with torches late into the night," he said.
"You can't beat this community."

POLICE will be using horses to help in the search for 77-year-old Keith Newton who went missing at Wellington Point on Thursday.
Inspector Adam Muir said police on foot and in vehicles were already involved in the search.
Polair was also used to search from the air on Thursday night.
Inspector Muir said it was believed that Mr Newton had onset dementia.
Police have appealed to members of the public helping with the search to give their details to police based at the end of Fernbourne Road to ensure that resources are co-ordinated.
Mr Newton lives on Fernbourne Road and was last seen in the area of Harris, Chermside and Roberts streets on Thursday.
He regularly walks in the area and did not return home after leaving about 3pm on Thursday.

POLICE have again appealed to residents in the vicinity of the Wellington Point station to search their property for a 77-year-old man who went missing on Thursday afternoon.
Senior Sergeant Tom Nelson said anyone who saw an elderly bearded man, who may appear dazed and confused, should contact Policelink on 131 444.

He said it was believed that Keith Newton was last seen around Chermside and Roberts streets yesterday afternoon.
"It is possible he is in a house or yard," Senior Sergeant Nelson said.
"We appeal to people to be vigilant and keep a look out."
Senior Sergeant Nelson said SES volunteers, police including Polair and members of the public had searched until about 2am on Friday. The searched started again at 6am.
Mr Newton regularly walked in the area and left Fernbourne Road about 3pm on Thursday.

POLICE have appealed to residents in the Fernbourne Road area of Wellington Point to check their yards and sheds after a 77-year-old man went missing on Thursday.
A police spokesman said SES volunteers would begin a search at 8am.
Keith Newton left his home about 3pm on Thursday to go for his regular walk.
Mr Newton is described as Caucasian, about 180 centimetres tall with a slim build and grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a white panama hat, navy tracksuit and blue boat shoes.
The spokesman said police held concerns for his safety and wellbeing as the behaviour is out of character.
Mr Newton has a medical condition.
