A NEW timetable for vehicle ferries operating between North Stradbroke Island and the mainland will come into effect on Monday.
SeaLink south-east Queensland general manager Heather Truman said the new vehicle ferry timetable would operate Monday to Sunday and provide a minimum of 22 daily departures.
The changes are to some departure times.
Ms Truman said the timetable would offer flexibility, with additional ferries to be added over peak travel periods like school and summer holidays, long weekends and when special events were held on North Stradbroke Island.
"There have been numerous factors to consider that has led to this change," Ms Truman said.
"The health and safety of our crew and the ability to deliver on-time departures to our customers are top priorities."
There are no changes to the passenger ferry (water taxi) timetable.
