MUDDIES senior men's captain Shaun King will celebrate a major milestone when he plays his 300th game for the club on June 15.
King joined Redlands Rugby Union Club as a five-year-old in 2000 and his passion for the sport has continued for nearly two decades.
He will be the second player in the club's 40 year history to clock 300 games, with fellow Mudcrab James Davis reaching the milestone in 2013.
It comes during the club's 40th anniversary year.
Coach Mike King praised King's hard work and dedication to the game, the club and his team.
"He's a great team player," he said.
"He'll play any position the coach requires (and) leads by example. He's not the most talkative guy on the field but the other players follow his lead."
He encouraged past and present players to come and support and help celebrate this club milestone with the players and club members.
King will play his milestone game against the Riverside Rebels on Saturday, June 15 kicking off at 3pm at Judy Holt Park.
As part of Old Boys and Sponsors day, also on June 15, local club legends - aged between 35 and 75 - will play a match from 1.30pm.
