THE Redlands latest Mexican food outlet - Guzman Y Gomez at Victoria Point - will open its doors for the first time at midday on Thursday, June 20.
In celebration of GYG's opening, free burritos and burrito bowls will be available, according to franchisee German Leudo.
"We gave away 4700 burritos at the opening day at Capalaba (in December) and are expecting to do similar numbers at Victoria Point," Mr Leudo said.
"We are expecting long queues but the line usually moves quite fast.
"We will have six burrito fillings on offer, including vegetarian options so we can give locals a taste of the food we have on offer."
The burrito bowls provide a gluten-free option.

While the restaurant has employed 30 people, mostly locals, extra staff will be on hand for the opening day.
A Mexican mariachi band will provide entertainment and face-painting will be on offer.
Mr Leudo who is the franchisee with his wife Veronica Junca and brothers David Leudo and Sergio Garcia, all from Colombia, said they were very excited to bring the store to Victoria Point.
"I have moved to the area now, living just five minutes from the shop and am looking forward to our opening," Mr Leudo said.
The free burritos are only available to walk-ins, with the drive-through closed on the opening day.
The outlet will open from midday until 7pm.
After the opening day, GYG will open from 6am to 10pm Thursday to Saturday, and 6am to 9pm Sunday to Wednesday.
