WaistWatchers The Musical promises some belly laughs when it comes to the Redland Performing Arts Centre at 7.30pm on Thursday, July 11.

WaistWatchers The Musical! is set in a women's gym and is a good-humoured look at the four women working out food, diets, exercise, friendship, love, life and sex.

They might be hitting the gym together, but the ladies all have their different reasons. Cheryl wants to relieve work stress and keep her looks, and Carla goes so she can eat more chocolate. Connie finds herself at gym for the first time so she can start to feel sexy again and, after her recent divorce, Cindy is single, ready to mingle and looking to tone up.

As the ladies share their lives, they blossom into stronger women who take ownership of their eating, their bodies, their relationships, and their self-esteem.

Created by Alan Jacobson (book and lyrics) with Vince Di Mura (music) and directed by Matt Silva (Becoming Dr Ruth and Joseph and The Technicolour Dreamcoat), the show has received rave reviews after sell-out shows across America.

Tickets are $39-$47. Book on 3829 8131 or rpac.com.au (booking fees are $4.30 by phone and $5 online per transaction).
