TRAVEL agent Erin Ross and her children Maia and Ryley will don beanies for the third year to raise money to find a cure for brain cancer.
Their two Beanies for Brain Cancer events at Elysium at Victoria Point have each raised more than $13,000.
Ms Ross said she and her children felt supported by the community since losing husband and father Matt to brain cancer, when he was just 32. "The whole night is like a massive community hug," she said.
Ms Ross said beneficiaries would be the Peace of Mind Foundation that helped brain cancer patients and family and the Charlie Teo Foundation.
From Friday, Elysium will sell schooners of donated lager for $5 or more, with the full amount going to the fundraiser.
The event is at Elysium on Friday, June 28 from 7.30pm.
Prizes and goods on auction include holidays like a Fiji package inclusive of flights, accommodation and a cruise, and jewellery.
