THE Redland Rugby Union Club's under 15 team is searching for Redlands' best beard and most original beanie for their Winter Solstice Celebration event on Saturday.
The team is raising money to tour Argentina in September.
Club coach Brendon Winslow said the group was doing everything they could to raise $116,000.
The money would take the 23-player team to Argentina's capital Buenos Aires.
"We need to raise a phenomenal amount of money to make the trip as affordable as possible for the boys and their families," Winslow said.
"It is being sold as a cultural and rugby tour as the boys will experience heaps more than just playing a few games of rugby."
Tickets for Saturday's event are $40 which covers two drinks, finger food and entry into the $100 lucky door raffle.
There will be music, a fashion show, raffles and a barbecue at an extra cost.
Prizes for the best beard and most original beanie.
Raffle prizes include YMCA 12-month memberships, a $300 99 Bikes vouchers, a Sirromet hamper and rugby jerseys.
The event will be at the Redlands Rugby Union Club, known as Muddies, at Judy Holt Park, Old Cleveland Road East, Birkdale.
Tickets are $40 if pre-booked or $50 on the night.
The event is from 4pm, with an American-style smokehouse barbecue served from 7pm at an extra cost.
