WHEN Robyn Maurer was brought along to a basketball game by a work colleague, she was not expecting to meet her future husband.
Then a young bookkeeper and shorthand worker at Sydney-baed publisher E.J. Dwyer, Ms Maurer went along to the game with her co-worker Margaret Anderson, whose husband Bruce was playing on the team.
When she met Bruce's brother Peter, something clicked.
The pair were married at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Arncliffe, New South Wales on Friday, July 3 1959.
Six decades later, Mr and Mrs Anderson are still very much in love, having stuck together through thick and thin.
Mr Anderson worked as an electrician and a warehouse manager in Sydney before the pair and their children relocated to Queensland in 1972.
He then picked up a Tip Top bread run, owned a hotdog and donut restaurant and worked as a taxi driver before retiring.
Meanwhile, Mrs Anderson worked as a merchandiser and housekeeper at the Camp Hill Hotel.

With their family spread over three continents, the pair have travelled extensively during their marriage.
Highlights included trips to the UK to watch son Tony playing football for Halifax at Wembley Stadium and to visit their first grandchild, Ben.
In 2010, the pair visited the US for their youngest son Damien's wedding.
Damien will visit from the US this month, joining other family and friends to celebrate the pair's diamond anniversary at Alexandra Hills on July 7.
Mr Anderson said even after 60 years, there was only one woman for him.
