STAFF at Domino's Birkdale made a whopping 272 pizzas every half hour on the first State of Origin night, ranking them in the top 10 busiest stores in Queensland and NSW.
Franchisee Nimesh Patel said Origin games were among the most important dates on the calendar.
"The Birkdale team always looks forward to game nights because there's an electric atmosphere in-store, with everyone working together to handle the rush and feed hungry footy fans," Mr Patel said.
"Getting hundreds of pizzas out the door in a short period of time is all about preparation, not cutting corners or driving quickly."
Mr Patel said Domino's Birkdale and Capalaba would hold a doughraiser from June 24 to 30 to support Capalaba District Junior Rugby League Club and the Redlands Rugby Union Club.
The stores will donate 50 cents from each pizza sold to the clubs to help send teams to on tour to England and Argentina.
"We love giving back to the communities in which we operate and we're excited to do our bit to raise much-needed funds for the local football clubs," Mr Patel said.
