A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition with knife wounds after an incident at Redland Bay.
A police spokesman said an incident had occurred at a house on Shanahan Street about 3am on Tuesday.
"The man sustained knife wounds to his torso and hand," the spokesman said.
He said that it appeared the man and his attacker - who had fled the scene - were known to each other.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a man was transported with a high acuity response unit officer in the ambulance to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
He was in a serious condition.
The violent crime comes just days after the shooting of a man and woman at Sunnybank on Saturday.
Police have appealed for help to find 38-year-old Sunnybank Hills man Brendyn Clark, who may be able to assist police with their investigation in Saturday's incident.
A police spokesperson said Mr Clark was known to the victims.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at Doolandella on Saturday in connection with the Sunnybank incident.
The spokesperson said anyone who saw Mr Clark should not approach him but immediately call triple zero (000).
