Redland doctor and artist Karen Munster is joining forces with two other local artists and fellow Redland Yurara Art Society members Kathryn Christensen and Robert Grant for an exhibition opening at 7pm on July 19.
Entitled The Nature of the Trio, the exhibition is being staged at the Yurara art gallery and Pinklands studio at Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, Thornlands.
Dr Munster said she was donating all proceeds from her sales to Myeloma Australia.
"Myeloma Australia is the only myeloma specificorganisation in Australia supporting those living with myeloma which is also known as multiple myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a type of bone marrow cancerarising from plasma cells, which are normally found in the bone marrow," Dr Munster said.
She said of about 1800 Australians who were diagnosed with myeloma each year, almost all were older than 40 years.
Entry to the exhibition is free and visitors can make a donation to Myeloma Australia in the donations box at the gallery.
On display and for sale will be paintings in oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolours, drawings, lino cut prints and cards.
She said the three artists all had different styles so there was a variety of works on display.
The exhibition continues from 10am to 4pm on July 20, 21, 27 and 28.
