LNP leader Deb Frecklington says the Redlands is one of 11 seats the party is in good stead to win over in the October 2020 election.
Ms Frecklington said nominations for Redlands and a further 10 seats would open immediately after the LNP convention in Brisbane wrapped up on Sunday.
In 2017 Labor MP Kim Richards won the seat from the LNP's Matt McEachan who held it for a single term. The previous MP was Peter Dowling who was dumped from the LNP after a sexting incident.
Boundary changes prior to the 2017 election resulted in areas like Sheldon, Carbrook, Mount Cotton and Cornubia move out of the electorate.
Ms Richards said she was working hard and delivering for the community after the LNP had taken the seat of Redlands for granted for more than 10 years.
"I'm delivering more for the Redlands than the LNP ever did in the past decade," she said.
"The LNP ignored infrastructure when they were in government. In 18 months I"ve secured $42 million for Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, $21 million for ferry infrastructure and more than $30 million in education."
Ms Frecklington said the LNP was also in good stead to win Gaven, Townsville, Maiwar, Mundingburra, Aspley, Barron River, Whitsunday, Mansfield, Maryborough and Mirani.
She ruled out cutting deals with minor parties to win the Queensland poll.
With more than 470 days until Queenslanders head to the ballot box, Ms Frecklington said her party would be the underdog and promised to turn around the prospects for households doing it tough.
