THE REDLANDS branch of Cancer Council Queensland will celebrate Christmas in July at Thornlands dance palais next Thursday.
Tickets cost $25 and include a roast lunch, pudding and live entertainment.
Cancer Council's Redlands branch secretary Pam Tranter said the Christmas in July celebrations could see the charity raise $2000 if ticket sales were good.
She said there would be a range of activities for people to enjoy.
"We'll have a couple of stalls selling anything from jam and chutney to crocheted tea towels," Ms Tranter said.
"We have some very original craft work that goes into making things for these stalls.
"Country music performer Allen McMonagle will come and provide us with some Christmas carols for people to sing along to.
"And of course we'll have lot's of lovely food. We'll be having roast chicken, turkey and ham, veggies, pudding, hot custard and pavlova."
Ms Tranter said there would be raffles, quizzes and games throughout the event, which begins at 11am.
