THREE men were taken to hospital after a boat travelling at a high speed crashed into a buoy off Cleveland on Wednesday night.
Queensland Ambulance Service metro south acting operations supervisor Jeremy Lawrance said paramedics were taken to the boat by police and the Raby Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue service after the crash at 10.50pm.
A man in his 40s was taken in a critical condition with spinal and internal injuries to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The driver, aged in his 30s, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with facial and spinal injuries.
Mr Lawrance said the driver was knocked out in the crash.
A man in his late 20s sustained chest injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
Critical care paramedics and QAS's high acuity response unit attended the crash.
A police spokesman said the crash was under investigation.
In a separate incident at Cleveland, a vehicle crashed into a tree on Sommersea Drive at 10.05pm.
A man in his 20s who suffered back injuries was taken in a stable condition to Redland Hospital.
Another man declined transport to hospital.
