THE CAGE Youth Foundation will host a free alcohol and drug information forum on Tuesday, July 23 from 6.30pm.
The forum will be held at The Cage's community centre at 882 German Church Road, Redland Bay.
The Cage founding director Linda Grieve said the forum was open to anyone who wanted to learn about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
"We'll have an open group discussion and inform the community about things that we all need to know," she said.
"It's a free forum delivering what we believe to be vital information for our community, friends and families and other service providers, as well as those that are impacted by others' use of drugs and alcohol.
"It's purely about raising awareness and providing knowledge in regards to the impact misusing alcohol and taking drugs can have on our community and the social impacts it has on individuals."
The Cage became lead agency of the federally funded Redlands Local Drug Action Team in 2018.
Ms Grieve said The Cage visited schools and ran support groups to help the community.
"The drug action team provides information and awareness on the impacts of drugs and alcohol and the role they play in the community," she said.
Get RAAD program developer Dominic Shelley, who held drug and alcohol forums in conjunction with The Cage last year, will help host the forum.
