COOLNWYNPIN State School will celebrate 35 years of education at the school's Koala Fair on Saturday, August 3.
Featuring carnival rides, fireworks, a cafe, more than 50 stalls and musical performances from the students, the fair will raise money for new school facilities.
Coolnwynpin State School parents and citizens association president David Tanti said the 2019 Koala Fair would be the school's biggest yet.
"We are hoping to see a couple of thousand people come through across the day," he said.
"We've had a team of diligent volunteers working on this for 18 months all up.
"We hope the local community can come and have a great family day out."
Mr Tanti said the fair would celebrate the school's history.
"We've reached out to the alumni over the last couple of months and they have contributed old photos, uniforms and that kind of stuff which will be on display in the school hall," he said.
Mr Tanti said the money raised during the fair would go towards play-based learning activities, such as alphabet paintings on the concrete outside junior school classrooms.
The Koala Fair starts at 1pm and winds down with the much anticipated fireworks display at 6pm.
The school is located at 6 Telaska Ct, Capalaba.
