POLICE have warned people about having parcels delivered after two men were reported to have stolen a package couriered to an Alexandra Hills house.
Acting Senior Constable Victor Chai said that two men had allegedly gone to a house on Garden Street and signed for a valuable parcel that was delivered by a courier company.
The incident occurred on July 23, between 7am and 4.30pm.
The two left with the package, which was intended for other people.
Acting Senior Constable Chai said people should be careful when it comes to having parcels delivered.
Police encouraged anybody expecting a parcel by post or courier to have an authorised person home to sign for the parcel, have it delivered to a safe locker at a post office or at a work address where it could be signed for personally, or have it delivered back to the local post office to be collected later.
Anyone who has information for police should contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000. Quote reference number QP1901487294.
