Australian icons GANGAjang and Mental As Anything will headline at this year's RedFest, to be staged at Cleveland showground from September 6 to 8.
Now in its 61st year, the festival features 50 acts in a heady program of music, alongside a thrust to revitalise and revisit its agricultural roots with the return of the gardening, horticulture, art and craft, cookery and culinary contests.
Celebrity chefs such as Alastair McLeod and Hamish Pearce will work with local producers to add flavour and colour to the event, enabling visitors to truly taste and see the best the Redlands has to offer.
Festival Director Luke Kinman said the committee was excited to offer another fantastic program of musical entertainment and to showcase local produce and producers.
"What could be better than a weekend of great music and fabulous food, here on the beautiful Redlands Coast. I'm sure this will be a very popular addition to the program of activities that truly offers something for everyone all weekend," he said.
The festival will bring back all of the festival favourites, including a wide range of children's workshops and shows, the world famous strawberry eating competitions, two ights of fireworks, sideshow alley and arts workshops.
RedFest is supported by the Redland City Council, Tourism and Events Queensland, Redland City Bulletin, RAMS Homeloans, Propeller, Salads Made Fresh, Exact Print, Mpunt Cotton Landscaping, The Walker Group, Fiteni Homes, Sirromet Wines, Sealink and The Alexandra Hills Hotel.
