Horticulturalist Chris Brauns will offer a tour of the gardens of Ormiston House and share his knowledge on Sunday, August 25.
Mr Brauns will explain the hidden surprises of the spectacular gardens, offering more than 40 years' experience in research, horticulture, hydroponics, plant genetics and plant tissue culture to the heritage gardens.
House administrator Duchesne Barry said Mr Brauns was highly sought after by numerous nurseries and organisations including Government House.
"We are delighted that he is so willing to share his experience and expertise with our guests for this special tour," she said.
Tour tickets are $25 per person and include a Devonshire tea on the veranda at 10.30am prior to the tour. Patrons are welcome to stay in the grounds until closing time at 4pm.
Patrons can bring a picnic or can purchase a sandwich for lunch on the veranda before viewing the house.
