A dust haze has hit the Redlands, blotting out city views and producing hazy and eye-stinging conditions.
A Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said the haze, which moved through the Darling Downs and towards the south-east coast today, should ease later tonight.
The winds behind a cold front carried the haze from north-east South Australia into south-east Queensland yesterday afternoon.
Heavy fog also hit parts of Queensland this morning.
Queensland Ambulance urged motorists to be vigilant during their commute to work after a vehicle hit a power pole at Cavendish Road at 5.40am.
The patient was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Fog is not forecast for Tuesday morning.
