POLICE have confirmed the body of a person found in Moreton Bay on Monday is that of one of the fishermen who went missing earlier this month.
Police said the body was that of Carwyn Massey, 25.
It was found near Saint Helena's Island about 8.30am on Monday.
Police conducted an immediate land and aerial search of the location but no further items were uncovered.
Mr Massey's 32-year-old fishing partner remained missing.

POLICE are investigating whether a person found deceased in Moreton Bay on Monday may be one of two fishermen who went missing earlier this month.
Police said a member of the public found the body at 8.30am on Monday.
The families of the two men, who went missing on August 10, had been informed.
"Investigations by police and the coroner's office are continuing to establish any links to the missing fishermen, aged 32 and 25," the police said.
"Police wish to acknowledge the co-operation of both families and their thoughts remain with them at this very difficult time."
An air, sea and land search was conducted for the two men after their boat was reported overdue on August 11.
Their boat was found submerged near Green Island later the same day.
