DISABILITY services provider Myhorizon are hoping to start a life-changing conversation at a giant R U OK? Day morning tea on Thursday, September 12.
Myhorizon CEO Joe Gamblin said it had been a year since the organisation lost one of its own to suicide and is urging people to support anyone struggling by asking that all important question - are you OK?
"We want to help raise awareness of the important issue of suicide prevention and encourage everyone in our local community to connect with the people around them and support anyone struggling," he said.
"Come down to our Bush Pantry Cafe, dress in yellow and enjoy a morning tea for a gold coin donation and a good old friendly chat," he said.
Mr Gamblin said there would be giveaways during the morning tea, which will be held at The Bush Pantry Cafe at Runnymede Road, Capalaba from 10am.
