REDLAND City Bulletin asked readers to send in photos of snakes they had seen sneaking around during the start of breeding season.
The appeal came after a carpet python was spotted attempting to slither its way up a Moreton Bay fig tree outside a Raby Bay apartment on Monday.
Redland snake catcher Tony Morrison removed the snake, predicted to be around 2.5 metres in length, and relocated it to bushland.
Photos of snakes have been captured since in garages, backyards, patios and roads at Cleveland, Thornlands, Alexandra Hills and further inland at Munruben.
Snakes have also been spotted cooling their jets in bathrooms, toilets and chicken coops around the Redlands this year.
As temperatures heat up, snake catchers expect venomous and non-venomous snakes to come out of hiding and make their presence known.
