REDLANDERS can catch a free movie at Mount Cotton Community Park on Saturday, September 21.
A big screen will be installed for a showing of 1993 box-office smash hit Jurassic Park.
The event, hosted by Community Connections Redlands Coast, will double as a fundraising opportunity for local organisations.
Community Connections co-founder Craig Luxton said the organisation was set up to give small not-for-profit groups a chance to boost their fundraising efforts.
"The founders of Community Connections are long term members of the scouting movement and help run Mount Cotton Scout Group," he said.
"One of the things we have found is that volunteer organisations are very time poor and it is really tough to raise funds.
"We are creating the (movie in the park) event for them to come along, join in and raise funds."
Community Connections has held movie in the park events on three previous occasions.
The Greatest Showman was shown at Mount Cotton Community Park in March.
About 400 people have attended the movie in the park events at Redland Bay and Cleveland, and Mr Luxton expects that to continue on Saturday.
"We will have a giant inflatable which is Jurassic themed, a bit of pre-show entertainment and we've got some locals bringing chocolates, popcorn and a sausage sizzle," Mr Luxton said.
Mr Luxton said locals should keep a look out for the Jurassic Park Jeep around town as the event draws closer.
The pre-show entertainment kicks off at 3pm with the movie to begin at 7pm.
