REDLANDS locals have again shown their support for their favourite retailers and customers, lodging more than 12,600 votes in the 2019 Redland Business and Retail Awards.
In addition, more than 60 nominations for the business categories were lodged.
Awards committee chairman Ian Chester-Master, said it was great to see a large number of finalists for this year across the retail categories, customer service excellence and business categories.
"I would like to thank everyone who voted in this year's awards and to thank those businesses who nominated," Mr Chester-Master said.
"I would also like to thank the Cleveland Rotary Club, a few committed volunteers and the staff of the Redland City Bulletin who volunteered their time to help us sort and count the votes.
"We are humbled that the number of votes and nominations this year show that the awards are still going strong in its 16th year," he said.
The main aim of the awards is to showcase Redland City retailers, great customer service personnel and to acknowledge all Redlands Coast businesses.
The awards also encourage locals to buy local and support their local businesses. Supporting the local economy helps create local jobs and helps make Redlands a vibrant community.
There are more than 20 retail categories on offer, including the prestigious 'Excellence in Customer Service' award with a further six business categories to be decided.
Winners will be announced at the gala presentation dinner being held at Sheldon Event Centre on November 23.
The Awards would not be possible without the generous support of its sponsors. Premium Sponsors this year are: Redland City Council, Redland City Bulletin, BT Marketing and Redland City Chamber of Commerce
A special mention must go to the Quandamooka Yoolooburabee Aboriginal Corporation for partnering with us to make this year's theme: Community-Connection-Collaboration come to life.
